Policies

GLASSES Prescription Rechecks

  • Prescription recheck appointments must take place within 30 days of the initial appointment.

  • Any prescription checks falling outside the above timeframe will be done at full charge to the patient.

  • Any further prescription rechecks will be done at full charge to the patient.

Contact Lens adjustments after the exam

  • Patients may follow up with their introduction email from mycontacts@goswickeye.com for 30 days after their visit to request adjustments

  • Any in-person contact lens follow ups will have a charge of $35 for up to 60 days after the initial visits

  • Multifocal contact contact lens fits include up to 1 additional in-person visit within 60 days of the initial visit

Lens Remakes

  • Patients who have purchased glasses at Goswick Eye, and have had their prescription issued by Goswick Eye, are offered a free prescription recheck and lens redo within 30 days of delivery of their glasses. 

  • Second lens remakes require authorization and are subject to an additional lab fee of $35. 

  • If a patient is still not satisfied with their prescription after a recheck appointment and lens remake, the returns and refunds procedures (see below) still apply.

Cancellations, Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges

Cancellations

  • Order cancellations must be made the same-day the order was placed.  An order cancellation fee of $25 applies for all canceled orders, even the same-day.  

  • Orders cannot be canceled after the day of the order, and will be considered a return (see the policies below).  

Exchanges

  • Exchanges of frames (the patient must pay any cost difference) are allowed within 14 days of delivery (to the patient or office location) if the frame is in resellable condition. Exchanges must be made in person.

  • If a patient chooses to downgrade a lens option after their lenses have already been fabricated and/or received, the patient will not be refunded for any differences in cost (example: changing from a progressive lens to a single vision lens)

  • If a patient chooses to upgrade a lens option after their lenses have already been fabricated and/or received, the patient must pay the retail cost of the new lens option (example: adding transitions to clear lenses)

Returns and Refunds

  • Patients who have purchased glasses at Goswick Eye, and have had their prescription issued by Goswick Eye, are offered a free prescription recheck and lens redo within 30 days of delivery of their glasses.

  • If a patient is still not satisfied with their prescription after the recheck appointment and lens remake, the returns and refunds procedures listed below apply.


Insurance Orders

  • Lens returns will incur a return fee of $200 for multifocal lenses and $100 for single vision lenses if returned within 30 days of arrival (to the patient or office location). 

** Please note: this fee is due to the fact that your vision insurance plan’s lens lab does not accept returns or cancellations. 

  • Frames may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of arrival (to the patient or office location) if in resellable condition.  All returns must be made in person.

**Frames with any wear and tear or damage will not be accepted.


Non-Insurance Orders

Package Pricing-

  • Lenses and frames are refundable at 50% of the package price if returned within 30 days of arrival (to the patient or office location).  

   **Frames with any wear and tear or damage will not be returned.


Lens-only Pricing-

  • With non-package pricing, lenses are refundable at 50% of the price if returned within 30 days of arrival (to the patient or office location).

**Frames with any wear and tear or damage will not be returned.

  • Frames may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of arrival (to the patient or office location) if in resellable condition.  All returns must be made in person.

**Frames with any wear and tear or damage will not be accepted.

Goswick Eye Progressive Guarantee

  • Patients who purchase progressive lenses can opt to have their glasses remade into two separate single vision pairs of glasses (one distance and one near) within 30 days of delivery of the first pair. 

    • The patient can choose a B. Frank eyeglass frame for their second pair in these cases

    • If a 2nd lens remake is done, it must be within 60 days of the arrival of the first pair

    • 2nd remakes of lenses are subject to a $35 fee

Warranties  

  • Our lens warranty (if purchased) covers 1 free replacement of your lenses for 1 year from the date of purchase. 

    **Please note: patients will need to give up their frames while the replacement of lenses is completed at the lens lab.

  • Any frame damage is covered at a 50% discount on the cost of a replacement frame for 1 year from the date of purchase.  Many frame manufacturers cover manufacturer’s defects only for 6 months from the date of purchase.

**Please note manufacturer’s defects do NOT include: chewed, sat-on, stepped-on, run-over, chemically damaged, crushed, scratched/scuffed, hairspray/makeup-damaged, melted, or lost frames.
